“I first found Foundations Chiropractic while I was pregnant with my second child — and honestly, I was desperate. I was experiencing severe back pain during my pregnancy, to the point where I was in tears every single day just trying to get through it. When I brought it up to my doctor, I was told that back pain during pregnancy was “normal” and that there wasn’t much that could be done. By the time I hit about six months gestation, I knew I couldn’t keep suffering like that — and I also knew the pain was only going to get worse as my baby continued to grow.
I needed help, and I needed it fast. At Foundations, from the very first interaction, I felt cared for. Every single person I talked to was friendly, compassionate, and genuinely invested in me as a person — not just a patient.
I often brought my four-year-old son, Henry, with me to my appointments, and what stood out the most was how the staff treated him. Even though he wasn’t their patient, they knew his name, asked about him, and made him feel seen and important. As a pregnant mama, that meant more than I can put into words.
As for my back pain — the Foundations doctors helped me get it under control. I wasn’t crying every day anymore. They also supported me through round ligament pain and helped keep my body and belly aligned for an optimal birthing experience. When it came time to give birth, I had a fairly quick and uneventful delivery — which was exactly the goal. Compared to my first birth, which was long and brutal, this experience was completely different. The two biggest changes I made were hypnobirthing and consistent chiropractic care, and I truly believe both played a huge role in how smoothly things went.
But my experience with Foundations didn’t end after childbirth. They continued to support me and my baby, Luella, through postpartum care. Luella received a post-birth exam, and has been receiving care at Foundations ever since. On her initial scans, they noticed some challenges with her upper digestion — which made total sense, as she had been throwing up more than what felt normal. With gentle adjustments, the doctors helped resolve the issue quickly.
Now at 10 months old, Luella is the picture of health. Zero ear infections. Zero Tylenol. Zero antibiotics. No colds or coughs — even with it being “cold & flu season” and an older brother bringing home germs from school. She simply doesn’t get sick, and I am beyond grateful to have had the Foundations team in our corner from the very beginning.
